Step 3 of 3
Your monthly rhythm
Books closed, reports delivered, questions answered.
Once the books are clean, the work becomes quiet and regular. That is the whole idea.
Every month
Your accounts are reconciled and your books are closed. You get statements you can read — a profit and loss, a balance sheet, and a plain answer to what they say.
You will know that the month is done, because I will tell you it is done. Not knowing whether your books are current is its own kind of weight, and it is one of the things this is meant to take off you.
Between the months
You can ask me things. A question about a purchase, whether something is worth doing, what a number means. You do not need to save them up or book a call.
What you do
Send me what I ask for, when I ask for it. That is genuinely most of it. The rest is yours to spend on the work you actually started the business to do.
What this is not
I am your bookkeeper and your coach, not your tax preparer or your financial adviser. When something belongs with your CPA, I will say so — and your books will be in the state they need to be in when it gets there.
