The short version: this site collects what you type into the enquiry form and nothing else. There are no trackers, no advertising pixels and no cookies for visitors. If you want your details removed, email diana@knowyourworthbooks.com and they will be.

What this page covers

This covers the website — what happens when you use the enquiry form or the calculator. If you become a client, how your books and financial records are handled is a separate matter, covered by the engagement agreement between you and Diana rather than by this page.

What gets collected

Only what you choose to type into the enquiry form:

  • Your name and email address, which are required to reply to you.
  • Your phone number, business name, and what kind of business you run — all optional.
  • Whatever you write in “what’s feeling heaviest about the numbers right now?” — also optional.
  • The two figures from the Know Your Numbers calculator, only if you tick the box that offers to include them. Leave it unticked and those numbers are never sent — not sent and discarded, genuinely never transmitted.

The calculator stays in your browser

Know Your Numbers runs entirely on your own device. The figures you type are held in the page while you are on it and are not saved, not stored on your device, and not sent anywhere — unless you tick that consent box on the enquiry form, which is the only path off your machine.

What is not collected

No analytics. No Google Tag Manager, no advertising or social pixels, no session recording, no heatmaps. Visitors are not given cookies at all — the only cookie this site ever sets is the sign-in session for Diana’s own admin area, and it is never issued to a visitor.

Nothing here is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. There is no advertising.

Where it goes

A form submission travels to three places, all of them ordinary:

  • A database (Neon, hosted in the United States), where the enquiry is stored so Diana can find it again.
  • An email to Diana, sent through Resend, so she knows you wrote.
  • The web host (Vercel), which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, as every web server does.

Those companies process the data on Diana’s behalf to run the site. They are not given it for their own purposes.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful — to reply, and as a record of who has been in touch. They are not kept indefinitely for no reason, and they are removed whenever you ask.

What you can ask for

Email diana@knowyourworthbooks.com and you can have a copy of what is held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. There is no form to fill in and no account to create — it is one person reading her own email.

California residents have these rights under state law. Diana intends to honour them for everyone who asks, wherever they live, because drawing that line by geography would be strange.

Children

This is a site for people who run businesses. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

If this changes

The date at the top changes when the page does. If something meaningful changes about what is collected or where it goes, it will be said here plainly rather than folded into a longer document.
